Integrating Indigenous engagement from the start

Erin Linn is the founder of Integrated Heritage Advisory and a specialist in Indigenous engagement, cultural heritage governance, and social performance, with more than 20 years of international experience across resource development, infrastructure, and energy transition projects.

Her work focuses on helping organizations navigate complex cultural heritage, Indigenous engagement, governance, and social-risk challenges—supporting better decision-making, stronger relationships, and more durable project outcomes.

Erin has worked across seven countries, partnering with Indigenous communities, governments, NGOs, and major project proponents to design engagement frameworks, cultural heritage strategies, agreement approaches, and social impact initiatives for large-scale developments. She has led cultural heritage planning for mining and energy projects, supported complex stakeholder engagement processes, and advised project teams operating in challenging regulatory and social environments.

Her experience spans the United States, Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, bringing a multi-jurisdiction perspective to projects where cultural heritage, governance, and stakeholder relationships intersect.

In addition to her advisory work, Erin is completing a PhD at the University of Western Australia, where her research examines Indigenous rights, cultural heritage governance, and comparative regulatory frameworks across Australia, Canada, and the United States—particularly in the context of energy transition and major project development.

Erin’s work is grounded in respect for Indigenous rights and culturally informed decision-making, helping organizations approach complex projects with greater clarity, accountability, and strategic foresight.
